About Karron
Karron Novelette Heitmann is from the Island of Jamaica WI.
She is currently living in Greece on the Island of Crete.
In 1998 Karron began Belly Dance training in Miami Florida, at the Mid Eastern Dance Exchange, founded by Tamalyn Dallal. One year later she began teaching and performing.
In 2001 she moved to Greece with her family. She continued to teach and conduct workshops, along with performing at two of the biggest resorts in the south of Crete.
In 2004 she traveled to Egypt to the Ahlan Wa Sahlan Belly Dance festival to take part in numerous workshops and to perform as well.
She has also performed in Germany, France and Norway.
Prior to moving to Europe, she has studied with many teachers from many different countries, while attending the Mid Eastern Dance Exchange. Tamalyn Dallal has been her main teacher.
Her style of teaching and performing is simple and unique, sensual and flowing. It is of the traditional Egyptian style. Her specialties are the figure eight movements with the hips. She has the ability to captivate you through her movements, whether she is performing or teaching. She considers herself a soul therapist through the art of Belly Dance.
For her, this dance is sensual, not sexual. It is exotic, not erotic. Therefore it deserves the utmost respect.
